What is the GIVIT Christmas Appeal?

GIVIT have partnered up with our friends at Handmade Canberra to create the 2020 GIVIT Christmas Appeal, a gift drive to bring some joy to the recently bushfire affected communities in our Capital Region. 

Think of it like a very special Secret Santa. Through Handmade Canberra's online Christmas directory, you can purchase gives from $20 from an Australian small business. These are all then packaged and sent, free of charge to you, to someone in a bushfire affected community. 

Who are GIVIT and what do they do?

From Batemans Bay, Bega, Bombala to Braidwood, GIVIT supports over 330 charities and community organisations who are working on the ground across affected areas.

Donations made via GIVIT provide critical and immediate support following disasters as well as providing longer recovery support to re-establish homes and help communities recover.

100% of funds received are used to purchase essential items, wherever possible, from local providers to support the business community as it recovers. Further details about GIVIT can be found here.
